1872 als Schlesisches Feldartillerie Regiment Nr. 6 Divisions-Artillerie errichtet.
Dieses Regiment ist das 2. der Feldartillerie-Regimenter aus der Provinz Oberschlesien, und das 21. des Deutschen Reiches.

Formationsgeschichte

  • 24.10.1872 [2]: Die Feldartillerie-Regimenter wurden in ihrem Bestand vermehrt, und geteilt. Die Regimenter behielten ihre Provinzialbezeichnung und ihre Nummer. Dieses neu gebildete Regiment erhielt den Zusatz "Divisionsartillerie", und das andere die Bezeichnung "Korpsartillerie".
  • 07.05.1874 [2]: Die vorläufige Einteilung wurde durch AKO endgültig. Die Bezeichnungen Korpsartillerie und Divisionsartillerie entfielen. Das zweite Regiment der Brigade erhielt eine eigene Nummer Oberschlesisches Feldartillerie Regiment Nr. 21. Die Batterien wurden durchnummeriert.
  • 01.04.1881 [2]: Die beiden Feldartillerie-Regimenter der Brigade bilden jeweils eine neue Batterie. Diese beiden Batterien traten zu dem ersten Regiment (Feldartillerie-Regiment Nr. 6) der Brigade.
